Get your guy friends, a pair of red heels and some sponsors and take a walk in her shoes to help raise awareness of one of the largest human rights violations in the world - violence against women.
Don't worry if you don't have a pair of heels - we can help you with that. They are for rent on the day of the event.
Hope to see you there!
June 15, 2017 marks the annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
This year's theme for the province of Ontario is: "Starting the Conversation to Stop the Abuse of Older Adults".
Abuse against older adults comes in many forms and they are often left powerless to stand up for themselves and their rights. They must depend on others - us - their friends, family, and co-workers to help them. WEAR PURPLE ON JUNE 15TH TO START THE CONVERSATION.
Durham Mental Health Services kick off their BBQ season on May 30th, 2017. Don't miss a chance for some great street food and to support a great cause.
